A Holden for a classy lady

Finally my Holden Shawlette is off the blocking board, (well in my case blocking towel) and has been sent overseas to my extremely classy and very pretty MIL. In saying so, I hope that this shawl in my choice of colour will look stunning draped around her shoulders. I realised as I got home from the post office that I forgot to take a proper picture after blocking.... What a shame as I was looking forward to taking a fancy photo.

I blocked it with so much precision and accuracy that I could've cried when the post office girl was stuffing it into a smallish padded envelope (it was either a massive envelope or a larger box so I had no choice). I hope it still looks good when it's opened.

Just for the record this was a great pattern, very easy for a first time shawl knitter like myself and the resulting peice of work is fabulous.
